Calrsbad’s largest egg hunt took place over the Easter weekend, with hundreds in attendance at Poinsettia Park. The annual Eggstravaganza Spring Festival had everything from crafts, face painting, and cookie decorating to music and family relay games. The event was meant to welcome the spring season and also highlighted the Carlsbad Parks & Recreation summer camps with demonstrations and activities for children, including cooking, performing arts, sports, aquatics, and science.

Activity cards and Fun Zone wristbands were available for purchase for those who participated in the Egg Scramble, a race for kids to collect candy-filled eggs throughout the park until all the eggs were gone. There were competitive and non-competitive fields for kids of all ages and photo opportunities with the Easter bunny. The afternoon was filled with fun for the whole family.
