Carlsbad-based Kathy’s Legacy Foundation will hold its SuperHero Challenge at Cathedral Catholic High School on Sunday, May 21 to raise awareness for domestic violence. The event will include food, music, face painting, cotton candy, costumes, and more. Participants are encouraged to come dressed as a superhero, with the option to complete one of three races.

The 1K Kids Fun Run is for children eight years old and under. Parents, friends, and siblings are welcome to cheer their runners along the non-competitive course. Each child will receive a superhero prize as well. The 5K Run/Walk is a timed course through the beautiful Cathedral campus. Families and strollers are welcome. Finally, the CrossFit Challenge is a team competition event consisting of boot camp-type exercises such as running, jumping, lunging, push-ups, etc. Both RX and Scaled divisions are available depending on fitness level.
