The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF) will host the Family Fun Paddle Regatta on Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at California Watersports in Carlsbad. For an entry fee of $45, participants receive a t-shirt, board or kayak with a paddle, opportunity drawing entry, and access to activities for the whole family, which include live music, water relays, beach games, horseshoe tournament, volleyball, educational eco-tours, a bouncy house, and face painting. The Rubber Ducky Derby, one of the AHLF’s most popular events, will be incorporated into the Regatta this year as well. Prizes will be awarded and food will be available for purchase.

Founded in 1990 by passionate Carlsbad citizens, the AHLF strives to inspire people through education and outreach to preserve the Agua Hedionda Lagoon as an accessible and healthy watershed. Funds raised from the Regatta will benefit AHLF’s educational programs, festivals, and exhibits. To learn more visit www.aguahedionda.org or call 760-804-1969.
