The popular Eggstravaganza Spring Festival recently made its return to Poinsettia Community Park. This year’s celebration featured an ongoing “egg scramble” of multiple egg hunts and a noncompetitive field for young children, children with special needs, or families wanting to pose for a photo opportunity. The festival also offered attendees the chance to enjoy a family scavenger hunt, take photos with the Easter bunny, play in a fun zone with bounce houses and a giant slide, and participate in games such as “soak the bunny.” Other highlights included a sneak peek of the City of Carlsbad’s upcoming summer camps with interactive demonstrations. Recreation Supervisor for the City of Carlsbad Rachael Shay said, “Community events like these are part of what makes the City of Carlsbad a special place to live, where neighbors can connect and families can thrive.” For more information visit www.carlsbadca.gov.
